Just in case you missed my first post, my name is Chris and I live in Honolulu, at least for the moment. I have resided here for twenty years, though I’m originally from the beautiful city of San Francisco.
I love nature, photography, (and nature photography, since for me, they seem to go hand in hand) cooking and eating good food, growing lovely things in pots and listening to jazz music, though not necessarily in that order. I’ve been a lover of photography all of my life, but I never did much with it myself, until I had to opportunity to go back to school in 2007 to study graphic design. At the same time, I bought a Canon DSLR camera and a 100mm macro lens to learn digital photography, just because I could. I wanted to take photos like the ones I had always admired, (give me that bokeh!) and I wanted to do that for myself. Black & white film photography was a pre-requisite to being accepted into the program, so I very happily dove into that, as well! It’s been a long process, but I reached a point where lots of people were telling me that I was a good photographer, and that’s been the sweetest music to my ears.
If you have gotten this far, you should know that I have a couple of other websites that you might be interested in. I have a gallery from which I sell my photographs which is at http://www.chrisdurietzphotography.zenfolio.com
I also have my graphic design website at http://www.chrisdurietz.com
Feel free to take a look!
I also love a good reason to smile, and that’s really at the top of the list. There is a lot to love in the world, and it’s my goal to share it as I see it. I think we all need good reason to smile, so please come share my journey with me!
